Evidence to Practice Seminar ‘Restorative Practice'

The CAAB’s third Evidence to Practice Seminar was held on the 21st of May 2009. The purpose of this seminar was to introduce a collaborative and proactive framework to engaging children and young people in behaviour management and restoring healthy relationships in a variety of settings from educational to social welfare to justice. Information about this seminar is available here.

 
Evidence to Practice Seminar ‘Assessed – So What!'

The second in a series of Evidence to Practice Seminars was held on the 19th of November 2008 in the Gresham Hotel, Dublin. The theme for this seminar was ‘Assessed – So What!’ and its aim was to reflect on the approach to assessment and its benefits for children and their families. Evidence to Practice Seminar  'A Different Response Model'

The Children Acts Advisory Boards first Evidence To Practice Seminar (ETP) was held in the Gresham Hotel, Dublin, on the 22nd of May 2008.  The objective of ETP seminars is to bring research and best practice to the attention of a wide range of practitioners, managers and policy makers across the children’s sector.

2010 Awards for Services to Children and Young People

The 2010 Awards Ceremony was held in Dublin Castle on Tuesday March 9th 2010. 10 finalists from an original field of 37 projects presented to a large and highly appreciative audience.

 The finalists were presented with their awards by the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs, Mr. Barry Andrews, TD. Further information is available here.

 

2009 Awards for Services to Children and Young People

The 2009 awards ceremony was held on the 19th of February in Croke Park Stadium, Dublin 3. All 12 shortlisted entries made a presentation on their services and practices. The Awards were presented by Sylda Langford, Director General, Office of the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs and the ceremony was closed by the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs, Mr. Barry Andrews TD. 2008 Awards for Services to Children and Young People

The awards ceremony for 2008 was held in Croke Park on the 14th of Feburary. Presentations were made throughout the day by the twenty short listed nominees before the official awards ceremony began at 4.30p.m. Mr. Brendan Smith TD, Minister for Children presented the awards.
